I move between Abstract Expressionism and Abstract Impressionism . I feel the beauty of Abstract Expressionism is all about freedom for both the artist and the viewer, and its roots are in ' intuition' of the artist.
Colour is so important to me and I believe our lives can be enhanced by colour . I am first and foremost a colourist.
I also have a great love of the sea and my seascapes although quite abstract are influenced by my surroundings where I live in Malahide.

I have always been interested in Art and Design and first studied Dress Designing when I left school. But life got in the way as it does and marriage and 4 children later I decided to return to studying and this time it was Interior Design which I really loved. However I found my real passion was designing the room settings and that developed into painting pictures.
I have evolved into both a seascape artist and abstract artist and I love both. Even though they are totally different styles I enjoy the freedom of the abstract paintings and my love of the sea inspires my seascapes.
I am painting professionally for over 13 years and exhibit annually in the RDS at Art Source . I have exhibited at The Horse Show, The Ideal Homes and Art Evolve also in the RDS. I also do a pop up studio day every summer in The View in Malahide Marina and also near Christmas.
